Belt Testing Weekend Is Here!

Get ready for an exciting Belt Testing Weekend, starting on Friday, December 6th, with a special seminar led by LTA’s own Mr. Dylan Freese!

Eligibility Reminder
To participate in belt testing, students must have earned 8 stripes. Registration is available through the Spark Member App (Location ID: 4073) in the Events Section under the Shop Tab. Simply select the testing option that corresponds to the participant’s eligibility.

Kick Off 2025 with Our National Tournament in Winston-Salem, NC!

Don’t miss the first tournament of 2025—a National Tournament held at the prestigious Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, NC! This incredible event is the perfect way to challenge yourself, compete against the best students from across the country, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or trying your first tournament, there’s something for everyone. Plus, this tournament features à la carte options, so you can customize your experience!

Competition Categories

The following events will be featured at this tournament:

  • Traditional Forms – Compete with your rank-specific form against students of similar rank!
  • Traditional Freestyle Forms – Use traditional techniques to create your own form (no tricking, tumbling, weapons, or music allowed).
  • Extreme Forms – Add music, tumbling tricks, weapons, and special attire to create a dynamic form!
  • Synchronized Forms – Pair up with a buddy to perform a form with music. Special attire is allowed (no tumbling tricks or weapons).
  • Continuous Sparring – Rack up as many points as possible in 60-second rounds!
  • Point-Break Sparring – First to 5 points wins the round!
  • Board Breaking Competition – Test your power and accuracy by breaking 5 boards with a set series of techniques. Break all 5 for gold!

Sparring Workout

Last Sparring Workout of the Year: Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 AM!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 AM—it’s time for the final Sparring Workout of the year, exclusively for Orange Belts and above, ages 10 and older!

This is your last chance in 2024 to sharpen your sparring skills in a fun, energetic, and relaxed environment. These workouts are designed to give you multiple rounds with a variety of partners, including those you may not typically spar with in class. It’s the perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and try new strategies against different opponents.

Why Attend?

  • Maximize Your Rounds: Get in as much sparring practice as possible to boost your skills.
  • Expand Your Horizons: Test yourself against new opponents and learn from their sparring styles.
  • Just Have Fun! No uniforms are required—wear your regular workout clothes, enjoy great music, and sweat it out in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

For the rest of the year, we’re offering parents the opportunity to earn their White Belts simply by stepping onto the mats with us! You’ll be able to join any of our evening classes, with the option to reserve a spot in Family Classes, so you can dive right into the action and see what the excitement is all about.
