Next Belt Testing

December 6th & 8th

Mark your calendars! Our final Belt Rank Testing of 2025 is happening Saturday, December 6th and Monday, December 8th—and we can’t wait to see your progress in action!

Belt testing is the culmination of each student’s hard work, dedication, and growth over the course of the cycle. It’s a chance to showcase everything they’ve learned in a high-energy, supportive environment. Whether it’s your first test or your next step toward Black Belt, this is your moment to shine!

📝 Registration Details

  • Registration Opens: November 24th

  • Registration Closes: December 3rd

  • Where to Register: Spark Member App under Events > Belt Testing

  • Note: Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete the form.

Students must have all 8 stripes on their belt to be eligible. Testing registration must be submitted before the deadline—no late registrations accepted.

📌 Testing Guidelines

  • Wear your full white uniform with all patches sewn on.

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to your scheduled testing time.

  • Be prepared to stay until the entire group finishes testing.

  • Respect the testing environment: no excessive noise and no flash photography.

  • Students receive 3 chances to perform their form (Senior Red & Black Belts get 2).

  • Jr. Brown Belts & above must break all boards within 3 tries to pass.

  • Support all students with positivity—testing takes courage!

Reminder: If a student doesn’t pass, they will not be charged again until they pass for that rank.

Monday testing is open to all ranks but limited by space. Students only need to attend one day.

🔁 Make-Up Testing Policy

Students up to Red Belt may do up to 3 make-up testings per calendar year.
Black Belt candidates must get special approval for any makeup.

To schedule:

  1. Register for the “Make-Up Testing” option in Spark.

  2. Email Mr. Lacy to coordinate a time.
    Make-ups will happen during class the week leading up to testing or at Friday Skills.

We’re kicking off 2026 with one of the most exciting events of the year—the Taekwondo America National Tournament in Orlando, Florida! This unforgettable weekend brings together students from all over the country to test their skills, grow their confidence, and represent their schools on the national stage.

Whether you’re a first-time competitor or a returning champion, this event is open to all ages, ranks, and experience levels—and it’s the perfect way to jumpstart the year with energy and purpose.

This year’s tournament takes place at the Caribe Royale Resort, just minutes from Walt Disney World and other world-class attractions. It’s a fantastic opportunity to pair high-level martial arts competition with a memorable family trip!

we’re expanding!

Big news! Leander Taekwondo America is growing!

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially begun our expansion into the former dentist’s office next door. This project will enhance both our lobby and workout space, giving us more room to better serve our amazing students and families.

🚧 Construction continues this month!  Our goal is to keep our full class schedule running smoothly while improvements are underway.

We’ll continue to post updates, sneak peeks, and progress photos on our social media, so be sure to follow along!
