🏆 Taekwondo America National Tournament

The 2026 Taekwondo America National Tournament is coming up! Join students from across the country as we head to Dallas on September 25–26 for one of the biggest events of the year.

Whether this is your first tournament or you’re a seasoned competitor, Nationals is an unforgettable experience filled with competition, teamwork, and memories that will last a lifetime. We hope you’ll join Team LTA in Dallas!

💥 Board Breaking Challenge

Our Board Breaking Challenge will take place here at Leander Taekwondo America on Saturday, September 12th at 12:00 PM.

Students participating in Board Breaking must wear a full white Taekwondo America uniform with all required patches.

The Board Breaking Challenge must be completed by September 18th in order for results to be submitted for Nationals.

🛡️ Tournament Requirements

Competitors must wear a clean Taekwondo America uniform with all required patches and bring a complete set of Taekwondo America approved sparring gear, including a mouthpiece, headgear, hand and foot gear, elbow pads, shin guards, and a groin cup for male competitors.

ℹ️ Good to Know

Competition rings and event times are assigned after registration closes and will be available in the Taekwondo America App the week of the tournament.

Our next Belt Rank Testing will take place October 5–7!

Testing is an exciting opportunity for students to demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and confidence they’ve developed throughout this testing cycle. We’re looking forward to seeing our students put in their hard work and finish the cycle strong!

🎯 Leadership Team Training

Leadership Team training will take place during Testing Week as we prepare for the new cycle ahead.

🏆 Results, Awards Ceremony & Demonstration

Results will be sent out by Friday at Noon.

Our Awards Ceremony will be a special opportunity to celebrate student promotions, recognize their hard work, and showcase their accomplishments throughout the cycle.

Families are encouraged to attend and support our students as we celebrate another successful testing cycle!

🔥 New Cycle Kickoff

We’ll be kicking off the new testing cycle with special training opportunities designed to help students build on their progress, sharpen their skills, and set new goals for the cycle ahead.

More details will be announced as we get closer to Testing Week.

5th Annual St. Jude Kick-A-Thon

It’s time for our 5th Annual St. Jude Kick-a-thon! 🥋💙

This is a great opportunity for our LTA family to come together, train hard, have fun, and raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!

Students will complete 20 minutes of non-stop kicks while collecting pledges or flat donations from family and friends.

Stop by and pick up a sponsor sheet so you can start collecting pledges from family, friends, and anyone who would like to support your student’s efforts.

Every kick and every donation helps us make a difference for the kids and families supported by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. ❤️

Get ready to bring a friend to class! 🎉

During Buddy Week, September 8–11, students can bring a buddy to class FREE!

It’s a great opportunity to introduce a friend, classmate, or family member to martial arts and let them experience what makes LTA so special.

Students can invite a buddy to join them for a regular class during Buddy Week.

A parent must register the buddy before they attend class.

Start thinking about who you’d like to bring and invite them to join you on the mat! We can’t wait to welcome some new faces to LTA! 🥋💙

Get ready for another Super Saturday at LTA! Join us for a morning packed with training, skill development, and tournament preparation. There’s something for everyone, so come ready to learn, work hard, and have fun on the mat!

  • Ages 11–14: Must attend with a parent/guardian
  • Ages 15+: May train independently
