🥋 What’s Happening at Leander Taekwondo America: August 23rd – 29th
There’s always something happening at Leander Taekwondo America!
We’re heading into Week 3 of our current Belt Testing Cycle, and our students are hard at work building strong habits, sharpening their martial arts skills, and working toward their next goals.
September is also shaping up to be a busy month at LTA, with opportunities for our students, their families, and members of our local community to get involved. Here’s a look at what’s coming up!
👀 Coming Up at LTA
🇺🇸 Labor Day Closure – September 7
👫 Buddy Week – September 8–11
💙 5th Annual St. Jude Kick-a-thon – September 12
🥋 Tournament Prep: Forms – September 12
💥 Board Breaking Tournament – September 12
🏆 Taekwondo America National Tournament – September 25–26
👫 Buddy Week – September 8–11
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to train at Leander Taekwondo America?
Buddy Week is your chance to find out!
From September 8–11, our current students can invite a friend, classmate, or family member to join them for a Taekwondo class FREE!
Buddy Week is a fun, low-pressure way to step onto the mat alongside someone you know and experience one of our classes firsthand. You’ll get to meet our instructors, train alongside our students, and see what our LTA community is all about.
A parent or guardian must register participating minors before attending.
We’d love to have you join us on the mat!
💙 5th Annual St. Jude Kick-a-thon – September 12
One of our favorite LTA traditions returns this September!
Our 5th Annual St. Jude Kick-a-thon brings our school community together to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital while doing something we know pretty well—kicking!
📅 Saturday, September 12
🕙 10:00–11:00 AM
📍 Leander Taekwondo America
Participants will take on 20 minutes of non-stop kicks while raising money through pledges and flat donations from friends and family.
The Kick-a-thon is about much more than martial arts. It gives our students an opportunity to use their hard work and perseverance to help children and families facing much bigger challenges.
We’re excited to once again support St. Jude and see what our LTA community can accomplish together!
🥋 Tournament Season Is Getting Started!
September also marks the beginning of an exciting tournament season for our Taekwondo students.
On Saturday, September 12, students will have an opportunity to participate in a special Tournament Prep Class focused on forms, followed by our Board Breaking Tournament.
These student events give our martial artists additional opportunities to challenge themselves, develop confidence, perform under pressure, and prepare for larger competitions.
Then, on September 25–26, members of our competition team will travel to Dallas, Texas, for the Taekwondo America National Tournament, where they’ll compete alongside Taekwondo America students from schools across the country.
Tournament weekends are always an exciting part of being an LTA student, whether someone is attending their very first competition or working toward bigger competitive goals.
Labor Day Closure – September 7
Leander Taekwondo America will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
Regular classes resume Tuesday, September 8.
